Supervision

Supervision is a working alliance between the supervisor and counselor in which the counselor can offer an account or recording of their work, reflect on it and receive feedback. Debbi often engages supervisees with activities designed to model real play sessions while providing emotional support and advice when needed. Clear boundaries and ethical guidelines are both reviewed and enforced so the counselor can learn how to accurately and empathetically respond to the needs of their client in a professional manner. Debbi is known for offering a climate in which the supervisee can feel understood, supported and challenged as well as instructed and assisted in their counseling work.

Supervision Fees $130/hour

As a former professor turned colleague, I have had the pleasure to work with Debbi in a variety of capacities. She is professional in each situation and her expertise as both a school and clinical counselor is rare to find. What is different about Debbi is how she utilizes her skills as a teacher, coach and counselor to build meaningful relationships with others. She is always enthusiastic, thoughtful, empathetic and encouraging while also upholding the ACA code of ethics with vigor.

During my counseling internship under Debbi’s supervision, she continuously provided opportunities that challenged me as a counselor all while providing ample support along the way. Her belief in my abilities allowed me to take on difficult cases, with the added benefit of laughter along the journey. If I again need supervision, I will choose Debbi immediately!
